Runestone Ranch has developed a trauma-informed and peer-led retreat that is set within a serene rural backdrop, offering our guests a chance to detach from the demands of daily life and reconnect with nature. Recognizing that there are many pathways to recovery, our program is a combination of holistic wellness and therapeutic intervention, centered on the individual, collaborative in spirit, and strength driven.
The program is facilitated by peers who are in-house trained and meet State and National requirements as advanced peer support specialist. The peers are also prior first responders who have lived the experience of trauma, recovered and have the passion to advocate for others.
The comprehensive program is designed to empower first responders to deal with trauma, thrive from it, and create an environment where no one feels alone. The program includes:
For: Current, former, or retired first responders
Length: 1-day and 6-days
Location: Livermore, CA
At the heart of Runestone Ranch is our commitment to provide an empathetic and effective healing journey for our first responders. The tranquil setting of our 102-acre ranch in Livermore is just the beginning. We embrace a trauma-informed approach that sets us apart from conventional wellness retreats. Our staff comprises professionals who have devoted their careers to understanding trauma and its effects. They are not just trained but are experienced in trauma-informed therapy techniques with real world experience as prior first responders.
We understand that the healing process extends far beyond a stay at our retreat. That's why we offer a post-retreat support system, which includes digital resources, regular follow-ups, and community events. Runestone Ranch isn't just a place but a continuum of care that accompanies our participants throughout their healing journey, offering a level of commitment that goes beyond the industry standard.
Runestone Ranch acknowledges that trauma doesn't only affect individuals but it bleeds into our families. As first responders, we often say to ourselves, "I leave work at work, and I don't bring the job with me," but that is easier said than done. With this understanding, we extend our services to the families of our first responders. Our retreats are comprehensive, and as we grow past launch, we will be incorporating specialized sessions for spouses and children, aided by our dedicated family and child therapists that will be on-site. We value nurturing familial bonds and promote shared healing, strengthening the unit that provides our first responders with their most crucial support network.
As specified by the Internal Revenue Service Code, Runestone Ranch is recognized as a 501(c)3 organization, exempt from federal income tax. Our EIN is 93-2312039.
